Saudi clubs are targeting two Wolverhampton Wanderers stars and Arsenal have been encouraged to sign a winger.

Wolverhampton Wanderers duo Pablo Sarabia and Fabio Silva are reportedly being eyed by Saudi Pro League teams this summer.

The two attacking-minded players have endured contrasting experiences at Molineux so far. Sarabia has largely been a success considering his bargain £5 million acquisition, while Silva has failed to live up to his whopping £35 million arrival from Porto.

Silva, now 21, joined with a mightily high ceiling but just five goals and six assists in 72 games deem him a failure. Loan moves to RSC Anderlecht, PSV Eindhoven and Rangers have revitalised Silva’s form somewhat but the striker has no future with Wanderers.

Journalist Ben Jacobs has reported - via the Wolfpack Podcast - that Saudi outfit Al-Qadsiah is keen on offering Silva a route out of Wolves. It’s stated that the Khobar-based club have been keeping a close eye on Silva’s progress.

Not only that, but former Rangers CEO James Bisgrove has recently completed a stunning move to Al-Qadsiah. His prior involvement in signing Silva for Rangers could help this transfer materialise, though no contact has been made to Wolves just yet.

Jacobs has also claimed that Sarabia is also wanted in Sauri Arabia. “The interest, I’m told, in Pablo Sarabia is still there; 12 months ago it was almost a given,” the reporter said. “Because he was frozen out, he wasn’t really involved, he wasn’t really playing.

“It looked like he was quite unhappy. Then I seem to recall he got more minutes and ended up being more integral and very useful. Maybe the Wolves position has changed. Al-Ettifaq and Al-Shabab both still have an interest in Sarabia. It’s just a case of whether they can get him,” Jacobs said.

Arsenal tipped to make Pedro Neto swoop

In other Wolves transfer news, Arsenal and England legend David Seaman has encouraged his former club to approach Wanderers over a transfer following speculation. “I’ve enjoyed watching Pedro Neto play for Portugal in this tournament [Euro 2024] and I would take him at Arsenal all day long,” Seaman said.

“He’s a perfect fit as a back-up for Saka, he’s creative and he would put pressure on other players. I think he’s a really good player. I think the fee to get him would be decent, but not massive as it would reflect his injury problems. When you see him on the pitch, he’s special.”

It was reported earlier in the week that Gunners boss Mikel Arteta had specially requested medical information on Neto ahead of a potential swoop. It’s also been claimed that the winger would be available for a reduced asking price of £43 million.
