Kings Heath, one of the trendy neighbourhoods south of the city, recently hosted its own Pride, an open air Eid celebration for the first time, and also a demonstration seeking better and safer streets. The community also held a Stand Up to Racism weekender after an attack on an elderly man earlier in the year.

York Road, off the High Street, is a great place to catch a bite with amazing cafes like the Kichen Garden cafe. York Road is also host to an Artisan market every second Sunday. 2. Hare & Hounds for live music

3. Plant N Plate for vegan food

4. Take a walk in Kings Heath Park
