Elmhurst Ballet School is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its move from Camberley, Surrey to Birmingham with a series of summer performances

Elmhurst Ballet School, in collaboration with Birmingham Royal Ballet, is set to host its summer performances titled ‘20’ from 5 to 11 July 2024.

The event, part of the ongoing ‘20 years in Birmingham’ celebrations, will feature students from the Lower School, Elmhurst Young Dancers, Upper School, and the graduate year Elmhurst Ballet Company.

The performances will showcase the students’ dedication and passion, with a diverse program that includes classical ballet pieces and new works.

Highlights include excerpts from Marius Petipa’s Swan Lake and La Bayadère, Miguel Altunaga’s City of a Thousand Trades, and Michael Corder’s Fête Galante.

New creations by school alumnus Rosie Price and Principal dancer of Birmingham Royal Ballet, Lachlan Monaghan, will also premiere.

The event will conclude with the Whole School performances and the joyous Grand Défilé, bringing all 190 students at the school together on stage..
