Wolves have been told that a third offer is set to come their way for one of their best players.

West Ham have been unsuccessful in their second attempt to sign Wolves captain Max Kilman, according to reports on social media.

Last week, Wolves rejected a £25m offer from the London club who are managed by their former manager Julen Lopetegui. Kilman is of interest to West Ham as well as Newcastle United but the pair are put off by the £45m asking price that the Molineux club have set.

It has now emerged that West Ham have made a second bid, and that has also been turned down. West Ham were willing to include a player in the deal, but that was snubbed. Talks are set to continue with the Hammers keen to land the former Futsal international, but Wolves are reluctant to part with Kilman and will not want to lose one of their key players unless the deal is right.

In a post shared on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, Fabrizio Romano said: "West Ham are still pushing for Max Kilman, new proposal expected to be sent soon.

"Second proposal also included one player as part of the deal but Wolves rejected again. Julen Lopetegui wants Kilman, talks continue."

The 27-year-old was ever present in the Premier League for Wolves last season and captained them in all but one of their games. Kilman was wanted by Napoli and Spurs last summer but remained put in the Midlands and signed a new contract that has him contracted until the summer of 2028. Manchester United are also apparently keen to sign Kilman, but Wolves are so far standing firm.
