'We won't be': Jayson Molumby on West Brom's new goal for final two games of Championship season

Albion secured their survival with a 3-0 win over Watford at The Hawthorns on Tuesday.

Jayson Molumby has sent a strong message out ahead of Albion’s final two games of the season - as the Baggies set another goal following survival.

James Morrison’s side mathematically secured their Championship status with a 3-0 win over Watford on Tuesday night.

Goals from Isaac Price and Daryl Dike put the Baggies in control before Danny Imray finished off the win late on.

It means Albion are eight points clear of Oxford with two games to go - and are safe in the Championship.

There is an issue over the potential points deduction for a PSR breach - with the outcome yet to be decided.

But points issue aside Albion are safe - however Jayson Molumby insists there will be no talk of being ‘on the beach’, as he sets out a new goal for Morrison’s unbeaten Baggies.

They stretched their unbeaten streak to nine games and Molumby told Albion TV: “It is what we all want, we have massive momentum and there is a good feeling.

“We want to win as many games as we can until the end of the season, that is our goal now.

“We won’t be on the beach, we want to give everything until the end of the season.

“We are playing with a lot of confidence, that is nine unbeaten now with four clean sheets back to back.

“It is massive and has been a massive effort from everyone, not just the players but the staff and everyone around the club as well.”

The night was a special one for Albion fans but also for on loan full back Imray, who got on the scoresheet for the first time.

Having been thrown in for his debut in a 3-0 loss at Portsmouth - Imray has grown into his role and has excelled under Morrison in recent weeks.

Asked about the Crystal Palace loanee, Molumby added: “He has been brilliant since he has come in really.

“He came in during a difficult moment and for a young player to come in on loan into a relegation fight is tough, so credit to him.

“He is a brilliant lad and he has been massive for us lately, so we’re delighted for him.”
