West Bromwich Albion have announced season ticket details ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, confirming they’ve maintained a key promise.

As set out under the new ownership of Shilen Patel, the prices of season tickets for young supporters have been frozen. There will be no extra charge compared to the 2023/24 campaign, with the ‘Kids for a Quid’ scheme continuing.

Rather remarkably, those under the age of 17 can purchase a season ticket for merely £23 in all four stands of The Hawthorns – a deal that’s rather out of this world. Fans who are 17 or older won’t have such good fortune as their costs are far higher, but the club has still decided to steer away from increasing prices.

Costs for those in the 17-19 age bracket begin at £119, while supporters aged 20-25 can purchase their season pass for as little as £209. Adult prices start at £399, with seniors entering in at £339. Adult disabled season tickets come in at the lower fee of £209.

The Baggies continue to offer some of the best value for money in English football, and the club’s current ticket categories – introduced in 2022 – have contributed to a 10% increase in season ticket holders. Adult prices have increased by approximately £2 per game, owing to unavoidable costs incurred by the club.

Why the ‘Kids for a Quid’ scheme exists

West Brom came to the realisation around three years ago that the average age of the fanbase was rising. Two campaigns ago, the average was 58 years. Last term, there was a clear progression to lower the mean age as around a third of season ticket holders were under the age of 20.

Attracting up-and-coming supporters is a huge priority for Albion as they look to maintain and grow the fanbase. Costs will rise again if and when the Baggies return to the Premier League but, by then, the sacrifice of selling cheap tickets to today’s youth will have paid off. A great scheme, it must be said.
