Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly entered the fight to sign a West Ham United and Crystal Palace transfer target.

Galatasaray winger Wilfried Zaha could reportedly be set for a stunning return to the Premier League just 12 months on from leaving Crystal Palace.

The 31-year-old had a mixed first season in Turkey, scoring 10 goals and making five assists in 42 appearances across all competitions. Game time was inconsistent as Zaha was often utilised as more of an impact substitute by Galatasaray toward the tail end of the campaign.

It’s been a tough few months for the Palace legend as he hasn’t registered a single goal involvement since his man of the match performance against Gaziantep FK on January 29. To make matters worse, Zaha started just four times in the last four months of the 2023/24 term.

The Mirror reports Galatasaray are keen offload Zaha this summer in a bid to reduce their staggering wage bill. It’s claimed the Turkish giants are regretting agreeing to pay the attacker £300,000-a-week and are willing to let him go for a cut-price transfer free.

It’s stated that Palace are keen on re-signing their former fan favourite but West Ham United and Wolves are also interested. A move back to Selhurst Park would be the obvious choice but Zaha may fancy a new challenge at a different Premier League outfit.

Zaha future could depend on wage demands

Wolves, West Ham and Palace will want to hear a ball-park figure for Zaha’s expected salary before making an official approach to Galatasaray. The winger will undoubtedly need to take a pay cut to make a return to the English top flight realistic, especially if he wants to join Wolves.
