Blues return to pre-season training at the start of July as Chris Davies gets ready to attack League One.

Birmingham City face more than a week long wait before finding out their 2024/25 League One fixtures.

The Premier League clubs will make their fixture schedule available to the public on Tuesday (June 18) at 9.00 am. Birmingham have dreams of one day getting back to the English top-flight after an 11-year absence, but they currently find themselves in the third tier of English football.

Birmingham last played in the Premier League in the 2010/11 season, losing to Spurs on the final day which saw them relegated. Since then, they've been in the play-offs once and after flirting with relegation multiple times over the last decade, their luck eventually ran out.

Blues have a new division to look forward to, but many supporters will probably admit that they hope that this is only a one-year stay in League One, having been ranked as one of the favourites to win promotion. Some big clubs have struggled to get out of the division, including Bolton Wanderers, Charlton Athletic and Blackpool, and they will fancy their chances in the race for promotion.

All 72 EFL clubs will have to wait until 9.00 on Wednesday, June 26, which is in nine days time. League broadcaster Sky Sports confirmed all opening weekend matches will be streamed so whether you're able to attend the match or not, you will be offered the opportunity to watch Birmingham City.

The season begins on the weekend of Friday, August 9 to Monday, August 12. The 46 rounds of League matches will take place across 36 weekends, six midweeks and four Bank Holidays.

Birmingham will also find out their EFL Trophy opponents next Wednesday. Chris Davies' side will be drawn against three other teams including an under-21s team from the Premier League with that match confirmed to be played at St Andrew's.
