Aston Villa and Everton are close to confirming the signings of Lewis Dobbin and Tim Iroegbunam.

Iroegbunam looks to be heading to Goodison Park for £9m with Dobbin moving the other way. Dobbin’s fee hasn’t been disclosed but it is believed to be of a similar price to Iroegbunam.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano says both clubs have 'completed' the deals. Iroegbunam had his medical on Thursday (June 20) with Dobbin's medical taking place today (June 21). Romano added that there are documents to review and then the deal will be concluded.

Everton transfer insider The Bobble has gone one step further than Fabrizio Romano and has claimed Dobbin has completed his medical with Villa already. He could potentially be unveiled as the first signing of the summer, with Ian Maatsen's £35m move also nearing completion.

Dobbin made 16 appearances for the Toffees last season, starting one Premier League game. The 21-year-old scored one goal for the Merseyside club last season, netting in a 2-0 win against Chelsea.

His only other experience of first-team football was a loan spell at Derby County in 2022/23. He played 54 times for the Rams and created six goals whilst also finding the back of the net five times.

Romano has also added that Juventus and Villa are in the 'final stages' of the swap deal for Douglas Luiz. Enzo Barrenchea, Samuel Iling Junior and a fee of around €25/30m will be enough to see Villa part with Luiz, who is currently away on international duty with Brazil.
