A teenager was arrested after a burglary at a property Chelmsley Wood in February

A 16-year-old boy was arrested today in connection with a burglary at a property in Solihull.

Police said a house was raided and a number of items were stolen including jewellery, laptops, cash and electricals.

The Neighbourhood Crime Team investigated the crime in Chelmsley Wood back in February.

An investigation was launched and a teenager was arrested on, Thursday, May 2.

Electricals believed to have been stolen were recovered. The teen was arrested on suspicion of burglary and remains in police custody.

Detective Inspector Mark Heard who leads the Neighbourhood Crime Team, said: “We do not underestimate how upsetting having your home broken into is and are doing everything we can to tackle this awful crime.
