UK-W-de premium dessert franchise Heavenly Desserts is set to open the doors to its newest restaurant in Shirley, Solihull on Saturday 6th July.

Sweet-toothed Shirley dessert lovers will be able to dig into a menu of classic treats including the brand’s signature cheesecakes, cookie doughs and croffles – Heavenly Desserts’ popular croissant-waffle combination. Catering to vegans, halal and gluten free dietary requirements, every guest will have a mouth-watering selection to choose from.

Located in Parkgate Shopping Centre complex in Solihull, the 44-capacity restaurant will replace part of the old Pizza Express unit. The launch brings Heavenly Desserts closer to 60 sites around the UK, with more restaurants set to launch nationwide in the coming months.

The new restaurant, which is owned by Haroon Liaquat and his brothers, will be their second Heavenly Desserts franchise in Birmingham and follows on from the success of their Handsworth restaurant on Soho Road.

A welcome addition to Parkgate Shopping Centre and the nearby Shirley High Street, the restaurant will offer locals the premium sit-down dessert dining experience that the brand is synonymous with.

Haroon said: “Heavenly Desserts has always had a special place in my heart as it’s the place my wife and I would meet before we got married, so when the opportunity to franchise with the business came around, it felt like the perfect opportunity for us. After seeing huge success at Handsworth, it felt like the right time to branch out to another area that has demand.

“My family and I live near Shirley, and we’ve seen a huge increase in new restaurants popping up, as well as a younger demographic moving in. Despite this, there are still not many local options for a good dessert without having to venture further into Birmingham, so Shirley has huge potential.

“Not only is the location ideal for footfall, but we’re also committed to supporting the local area, which is why we’ve recruited 20 staff locally, offering younger people a chance to learn about the hospitality industry.

“There’s no other dessert restaurant quite as innovative and ahead of the curve as Heavenly Desserts, and I’m excited for the people of Shirley to experience the great menu and customer service that the brand is known for.”

Decked with modern lighting, luxurious velvet booth seating, marbled tables and metallic finishings, guests can expect luxury in both desserts and interiors at the high street’s latest restaurant.

With the summer season upon us, Heavenly Desserts has also recently launched a new limited edition drinks and dessert menu, featuring Hibiscus and Honey Iced Tea, a Watermelon Sugar Cooler and an Iced White Chocolate and Chai milkshake, all of which will be available from the new Shirley restaurant.

Also joining the brand’s must-have summer menu is The Macaron Milk Cake, served with summer berries, white chocolate shavings and vanilla milk syrup and a Blueberry Boba Cheesecake Pot, featuring a crunchy biscuit crumb, passionfruit sauce and blueberry popping pearls, served in the iconic Heavenly Desserts plant pot.

To celebrate opening weekend, the branch will be offering 50% off its waffles, croffles, cookie dough and drinks, excluding Martini’s on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th July.

Heavenly Desserts Shirley will be open from 10am-11pm daily, Monday to Sunday. The restaurant is located at Parkgate Shopping Centre Complex, Stratford Road, Shirley, B90 3GG.
