Ninth annual Birmingham B-SIDE Festival set to return with new additions - Here's what you can expect

The B-SIDE Hip-Hop Festival is back and ready to celebrate all things Hip-Hop from 6 – 9 June 2024.
This year marks the ninth edition of the festival, which has become a staple event for Hip-Hop lovers across the globe.

Hide AdWhat is the B-SIDE Hip-Hop Festival?
The B-SIDE Hip-Hop Festival showcases the very best Hip-Hop talent from across the pillars of Hip-Hop, including Breakin’, Graffiti, DJing, and MCing.
The four-day festival will take place across Birmingham Hippodrome, Southside, and Bullring & Grand Central.
Who will be performing at the B-SIDE Hip-Hop Festival 2024?
Chris Sudworth, Creative Director at Birmingham Hippodrome, said, "We’re excited by the line-up for B-SIDE 2024, across the elements of Hip-Hop.”
The festival will feature fantastic free content from firm favourites Break Mission, Queer-Side, Afroflux, and High Vis Festival.

Hide AdA new addition to the festival this year is the Edinburgh hit Hip-Hop theatre piece TONES, which will be showcased in the Patrick Studio.
What events can we expect at the B-SIDE Hip-Hop Festival 2024?
The festival kicks off on Thursday, 6 June, with a Young Community Takeover event.
This event focuses on unlocking young people’s creativity through Hip-Hop workshops. The same day will also feature a showing of Gerel Falconer’s production, TONES.
On Friday, 7 June, the festival will host an advanced & intermediate level dance workshop program.

Hide AdThe festival then explodes onto the streets of Southside and inside Birmingham Hippodrome on Saturday, 8 June.
This day will feature dance competition qualifiers, a music block party, Graffiti Jam, Afroflux marketplace, workshops, talks, and much more.
The festival culminates on Sunday, 9 June, with the Break Mission Worldwide and Queer-Side Dance Championships Finals taking place in the Bullring.
This event will feature some of the very best contemporary Hip-Hop talents from across the UK and internationally.
