Police have launched a hate crime probe into a note left on a house in Aberystwyth attacking the Brummie accent

The BirminghamWorld team were left shocked by a the contents of a handwritten note left on a house in the Welsh seaside town of Aberystwyth.

The letter, discovered after 7pm on Monday January 8,  claims "low-life s**ts" from the West Midlands had ruined the ''once pleasant' area and told them to "go back to "Brummyland".

The note also called the Birmingham accent "vomit-inducing" and urged the occupants to "take a few thousand" other people back with them. Dyfed-Powys Police has launched a hate crime probe into the contents of the letter, which is fair enough.

The Brummie accent is one of the best in the land and we are proud of how we speak. Our friendly, modest intonations bring a wonderful earthy tone to the world.

Brummies have been welcomed across the globe where many have shone brightly with success and we’ve welcomed people from nations around the world to our city as well. There’s no reason to take the hump about Brummagem speak - alright bab!
